Stevie G's Weekly Wrap

Apologies for the delay in bringing you the latest scoop from the Garrard’s Gold Footy Tipping Competition. We've had quite a few thrilling rounds since my last update in Round 6, and it's time to catch up on all the action!
As we find ourselves approaching State of Origin, the competition is starting to fire-up. The Rockpile continues to impress, firmly holding his position at the top of the ladder. However, with the NRL being unpredictable as ever, I anticipate plenty of movement and jostling for ladder positions before the season reaches its climax.
In the Teams competition, things have gotten incredibly tight. We've witnessed numerous head-to-head draws and nail-biting finishes with just one-point differences. An interesting development is Team Meninga, who despite accumulating the second-highest points in the league, has only managed to secure two wins so far. Keep an eye out for them during the final series, as they could prove to be a formidable force. However, the standout team of the season thus far has been Team Beetson, the ones everyone is gunning to defeat. This week, a couple of individuals missed their tips, resulting in two reserves stepping up to fill in.
The battle for the Snapper Racing Medal remains intense, with almost everyone in the competition earning points at some stage. JuzzieBear has made her mark with an impressive tally of seven points, securing a spot in the top 20. Even though, when it comes to the overall Tipping Comp, she currently only sits at 78th spot. This goes to show just how close the competition is, with each participant only a couple of solid rounds away from climbing to the summit.
Unfortunately, it is with a heavy heart that I share some sad news. We recently said good-bye to a beloved Dad, Poppy, Friend and member of our tipping competition, Glenn Davis, affectionately known as "Turk is back." Glenn had been an integral part of the competition since its inception, offering unwavering support and countless ideas that have helped shape the competition into what it is today. In honor of Glenn's memory, my kids, Matty, Jack, and Libby, will continue submitting tips this season and ensuring their poppy's legacy lives on.
Go luck with your Round 14 picks and go NSW.
